ADATEPE

is the mountain village, where the ZEUS the Lord of the Gods watched the Trojan war. It is famous for its characteristic stone houses and the panorama of the magnificent Aegean Sea.

TROIA

One of the most well-known archaeological sites in the world, under the custody of UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE, is a bridge between the Balkans and Anatolia. The 9 layers of ancient cities display the gorgeous civilization lasted for more than 3 thousand years.

ASSOS

(Behramkale) is a settlement, where Aristoteles once lived for a short while, has still been existing since 1000 B.C.

SARIKIZ HILL

(the blonde girl hill) is the peak of the Ida Mountains. The legend has it that the rumours about the chastity of the beautiful young daughter, a sheperdess of geese, of an old villager ended with a tragic death. It is a sacred place for the Turkmen villagers where they go on pilgrimage in August annually.

BAŞDEĞİRMEN

A spectacular fall and a canyon carved by Mıhlı river during its everlasting journey, starting within the bosom of Mount Ida and ending in the Aegean Sea. There is also an ancient Roman stone bridge.

GÜRLE FALL

Gürle Fall is a natural wonder in the heights of Ida Mountains with the buvette where Helene and Paris used to swim.

BERGAMA

Bergama is another ancient city under the custody of UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE. Once a gorgeous kingdom, then a province of the Roman Empire, Pergamon is a sight-seeing place with its Acropolis, Aesclepion (ancient health center made in honour of Aesclepius, god of health), The Red Hall, a pantheon once and then a church which is a pilgrimage site for the Christians.

In addition, all of the first “7 Sacred Churches” of Christianity are in the Aegean Region. They are:
